Beyonce is an exceptional woman. She is a singer, designer, actress, and songwriter. She went from being a lead singer in a group to being a solo artist. Beyonce is the leading lady for covergirl cosmetics and American Express. Although she wears many hats in her career, she always has time for her family. Her mother is her stylist and her father is her manager. She keeps the money in the family. Beyonce is one of my favorite singers. Her voice is beautiful and her songs are great. Her two solo albums defined talent. Although Beyonce has not come out with any albums recently but she continues to be successful.

Alicia keys is a talented singer/song writer. She is on her third album which is amazing. It has a different feel to it. It is not the regular album. She sings with soul. This album is something you can relate to. Each song is something in its own, it does ont sound like any thing else i have ever heard. This album debuted at the top of the charts. It sold over 742,000 copies. She made history being the second woman to sell that much with in her first week. It was genius to release the song "No One" has her first single because it is catchy and everyone loves it. The second single "Like you'll never" is also amazing and in the video she shows her deepest feelings by crying. Overall i like all the songs on the album its one of my favorites.

Jay-z is a rapper that i admire very much. He has crossed many obstacles in his life and career. Jay-z is the richest rapper in hip hop. I love the fact that he does not care about what people say. He marches to the beat of his own drum and keeps striving for what he believes in. Jay-z just came out with his latest album called American Gangster. This album is the verbal reenactment of the movie American Gangster about the drug lord Frank Lucas. The album starts off with the song pray which describes a young boy who wants to be cool and make money. The climax of the CD is "Roc Boys" which is the hight of the drug dealers career. The CD ends with "Fallin" which talks about the drug dealers career being over and him going to jail. The CD is a classic and will not be forgotten.

Hellz Bellz

Hellz Bellz is a new cool creative clothing line started by Lanie Alabanza. This line was established in 2005. This line is all about defying what everyone thinks. She makes clothes for bad ass women. She would design a shirt with mini mouse holding a bazooka. She uses fun colors and prints that are girlie, but give the shirt a twist with something that u wouldn't expect like F*** Off,etc. Hellz Bellz is said to be a tribute to all non conforming females, who do things their own way. Questioning society and authority is a consistency of each season. Although this is a new clothing line i think it will last for years to come.

Forever the Theif

Forever 21 is a major company that sells trendy clothing at discount prices. Most young girls love this store because they could be in style and not have to break the bank to do so. Little do the shoppers of forever 21 know that the clothes they sell there are knock offs to high end clothing such as LAMB, Anna Sui, Dianne Von Furstenburg, etc. Forever 21 is being sued by these clothing lines for stealing prints and styles. At Anna Sui's Fashion show she gave t-shirts out saying wanted with the owners of Forever 21 on them. This goes with out saying Forever 21 will definitely have to change the clothes they sell and be more original, or they'll soon be OUT OF BUSINESS!

Curtis vs. Graduation

September eleventh was a big day for hip hop. 50 cent and Kanye West both released albums. Every one wanted to know who would sell more. I even made a bet about the outcome of the battle of the albums. 50 cent even put his career on the line by saying he would retire if Kanye sold more than him. Well the results are in and it seems that Kanye West sold 900,000 copies and 50 cent sold a mere 600,000 copies in the first week. A 300,000 copy difference! That's a big deal. Some people may have been shocked because of 50's previous success. I guess we will have to wait and see if he retires. This may finally give Kanye the respect that he wants as a rapper.
